caring and happy

found this last year’s project when rummaging through old hard disk, illustrations for Caring Colours new make up series, Caring Happy. Caring Colours is a local make up brand from Martha Tilaar Group, which targeted young professionals. it was a fun but challenging process, especially because it requires an illustration style that i haven’t really mastered. but i’m really glad that pattie, the creative director who commissioned me to do this project, trusted me to do it ^^

the end has begun. once again.
the conclusion of a circle (which, essentially has no tail).
closing up while actually making born of some(other)thing.
(can we really call it the end, then?)
anyway they say it is the time to reflect. isn’t it?
since contemplating is not my cup of tea,
let’s just skim through my note/sketch-book
which i have filled out during two thousand and eleven

(will post it gradually, and not in sequential order)

first i wanted this girl to be in some kind of ‘unfinished’ state,
so i did her outline with ink & put some highlight with some neon colored marker.
but when she popped into my photoshop worksheet,
i felt like experimenting with digital coloring.
so here she is. the girl who lives in a dream. her own dream.
